The appearance of your skin can change the appearance of your jewelry, skin that is too acidic will damage the plating of a jewel, heavy perspiration can also damage them.

Over time, jewelry can tarnish if you don't take care of it, so it requires special attention on a daily basis.

CULTURED PEARL AND MOTHER-OF-PEARL:

Here are some tips for maintaining and preserving the shine of cultured pearl jewelry:

1. Avoid contact with chemicals

Cultured pearls are delicate and can be damaged by products such as perfumes, creams, hairsprays, and household products. Apply your perfume and cosmetics before wearing your jewelry and let it dry for a few minutes.

2. Store them separately

Pearls can be scratched if they rub against other jewelry. To preserve them, store them in a soft fabric pouch or jewelry box, ideally separated from other metal or stone pieces.

3. Gentle cleaning

Clean your pearls with a soft, damp cloth to remove any traces of perspiration or products. Avoid hot water, soaps, or abrasive products that can damage the surface of the beads.

4. Avoid humid environments

Excessive heat and humidity can alter the shine of the pearls and weaken the silk thread that connects them. Avoid wearing them to the beach, pool or sports sessions.

Stainless steel is an alloy resistant to natural corrosion, but as you may have seen, external factors can damage your jewelry, such as poor jewelry care, the acidity of your skin, your products, perfumes or even multiple rubbings.

To keep your jewelry in excellent condition for many years, apply the appropriate advice.
